Severina Estevez de Avalo, 69 of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, formally of Perth Amboy, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer at her residence with her family by her side.
Severina was born and raised in La Vega, Dominican Republic and came to Perth Amboy in 2008 and was in Whitehall, Pennsylvania for the last three months. She was employed by Brooklyn Cannoli, South Amboy as a Baker for 5 years. She retired in 2020. She was a self made woman, where she successfully owned her own Bodetga and made her way to the United States where she peacefully lived with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband Odistel Avalo, who passed away 2020; loving daughter of Ramon Estevez and Beatriz ( nee Jimenez ); dear sister of Anibal and Ramona Estevez.
She is survived by her beloved children Melania Avalo and her husband Marino de Jesus, Miguel and Evelyn Avalo; dear sister of Arcides, Fresa and Georgina Estevez; adored grandmother of Marilania, Marinito, Elois, Mark, Miguel Alberto, Albert, Melany and Adonis and a great~ grandson Elois Alberto; cherished aunt of many nieces, nephews and cousins.
We will begin to leave on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10:45 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth amboy for a funeral mass at 11:30 am at St. Joseph's R. C. Church, Carteret. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Fords. Visiting is on Tuesday from 4 ~ 8 pm.
