Obituary

Maryann C Archer, age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5th at JKF Medical Center, Edison NJ.

Maryann was born in Bayonne, NJ, to Stephen and Irene (Lech) Gutowski. She married George W. Archer.  They had 2 daughters, Dawn Archer and Susan and her husband Jose Reyes. She worked at Menlo Park Veterans Home as a Sr Food Service Porter for many years. Maryann loved to crack jokes and laugh. She loved to chat with friends and family, talk about the “good ol times”, make jokes, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Maryann loved her TV game shows, soap operas and her Betty Boop collection.  She was known for her quick wit, her sass and always saying what’s on her mind with a loving heart. She was a firecracker. She was very family oriented. Maryann had 2 sisters, Irene and Audrey, and a brother Stephen. She also had 11 grandchildren and and 12 great grandchildren. 

Maryann was preceded in death by her mother, Irene and father, Stephen. She is survived by her siblings, Irene, Stephen , Audrey, and her two daughters Dawn and Susan, several cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 10 am at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting is on Sunday from 2 ~ 6 pm. Donations in the memory of Maryann can be made to the family at 300 Keene Street, Perth Amboy NJ 08861
