Lawrence Edward Bryant, III affectionately known as (Tre) passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey.
Tre was born in Edison, New Jersey to Lawrence (Larry) Bryant and Terrie Barnes. He was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He attended the Perth Amboy Public School system from Pre-School to the Eleventh grade. As a rising senior, Tre attended Barringer High School in Newark, New Jersey.
Tre was considered a multi-sport athlete; his ultimate passion was found in basketball. Through his basketball career, Tre played for some of the most elite AAU teams, which produced many tremendous athletes. He had a desire to one day play in the NBA.
Tre loved his family and every weekend he could be found hanging with one of his cousins/siblings. During his pastime he enjoyed watching movies and listening to music. He was loyal and Tre had your back till the very end. He had an infectious laugh and a great smile. He was super silly but was genuine and caring when it came to anything concerning his family. Whenever a family member needed support Tre was there to help you get through a difficult time. Tre will be missed, but we will keep his memory and his loyalty alive.
Tre is survived by his father Lawrence (Larry) Edward Bryant, II; his mother Terrie Barnes, Brother Adam; Adoring Grandmothers- Ann Atkinson, Anderene Schwartz, & Evelyn Boyd; Two Uncles – Jeremy Hernandez (Tati), and Kyon Coleman (DeDa); Four Aunts – Ndidia Muslim, Michelle Williams (Jah), Stephanie Johnson (Dawud), Shereen Goodson, Josie Hernandez; Three Great-Uncles; Four Great-Aunts; Three Nieces (Alexis, Tessa, Kylani); One Nephew (Amore); Cousins/Siblings – (Jared, Lil’ Kyon, Keymani); Beloved Godparents - Robert & Beatriz Cooper; God-Siblings - Aisha, Alex, & Latif; Also surviving are many cousins and longtime childhood friends, and teammates.
