Ellen Malopolski (nee Kenny), 86 passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy with her family by her side after
battling several illnesses for many years with perseverance until the end.
Ellen was born to the late William and Helen Kenny (nee McCardle) and was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. She was an alumnus of St. Mary’s High School, Perth Amboy, Class of 1953. She was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish at Most Holy Rosary Church and an active member of the Holy Spirit PTO for many years. Aside from being a homemaker, she was a former sales associate of A & S Department Store in Woodbridge Center. She enjoyed sewing and going to Atlantic City with her husband and friends.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, Henry Malopolski, who passed away in 2018, grandmother of Michael McCrone and her brother, Edward Kenny.
She is survived by her beloved children, Susan Batista, Nancy McCrone and her husband, Kenny, and Lisa Chyzik and her husband, Bill; her loving sister and “best friend” Margaret Tamsula, adored grandmother of Jessica McCrone, Thomas Chyzik, Kaitlyn Chyzik; cherished aunt of many nieces, nephews and cousins.
We begin to leave on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 9:15am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 10:00am at the Good Shepherd Parish at Most Holy Rosary Church. Interment will follow at St. James Mausoleum, Woodbridge. Visiting is from 5 to 8 pm.
