Obituary

Robert W. "Whitey" Siewarga
Age: 80        Perth Amboy

Robert "Whitey" Siewarga entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 16, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Whitey was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. Bob graduated from St. Mary's High School, Class of 1956. He earned his place and lifelong nickname on his hometown basketball courts before his talents landed him a prestigious college scholarship. He left Perth Amboy for the West coast where he played on Seattle University Redhawks (  Chieftains, at the time ) alongside Elgin Baylor. To say basketball was his passion would be an understatement; to this day, he watched every game and knew every statistic. He served his county in the United States Army. Bob was a communicant of Most Holy Rosary Church in Perth Amboy and a longtime employee of Wilentz, Goldman, and Spitzer in Woodbridge. With friends and family, Bob always showed up to the party with a bag of fresh clams and preferred his White Zinfandel on ice. He will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and wit. Bob is survived by his loving sister, Betty Ann Pappas; niece, Kellie Couzzola (Paul),  and their three children, Gabriella (Will) Cownie; Angelica and Nicholas; Nephew Kyle Cottrell and his two children, Thomas and Zahara, as well as there many friends in New Jersey and their neighbors in Florida.
