Henry F. Malopolski, 85 of Perth Amboy, passed away after a long and courageous battle on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy with his family by his side.
Henry was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. He attended St. Stephen's Grammar School and then later attended Perth Amboy Vocational Tech. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Henry was employed by Raritan River Steel, Perth Amboy for 19 years as a Locomotive Operator. He retired in 1998. He was a parishioner at the Good Shepherd Parish at Holy Spirit Church. Henry loved spending time with family and friends and taking trips with the "gang" and going to Atlantic City.
He is preceeded in death by his parents Walter and Frances ( nee Potyrala ) Malopolski; cherished grandfather of Michael McCrone; dear brother of John, Violet, Edward, Chester and Helen Kaminski.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Ellen ( nee Kenny ) Malopolski; beloved father of Susan Batista, Nancy and her husband Kenny McCrone and Lisa and her husband Bill Chyzik;loving sister-in-law Margaret Tamsula; adored grandfather of Jessica McCrone, Thomas & Kaitlyn Chyzik; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.
We begin to leave on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 9:15 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 10 am at the Good Shepherd Parish at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visiting is on Thursday from 2 ~ 4 & 7 ~ 9 pm.
