George J. Ankosko, 93 of Perth Amboy, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.
George was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army and received the Purple Heart during his time. He was employed by Eastern Express, No. Brunswick for 35 years as a Truck Mechanic. He retired in 1986. He was a parishioner of Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at Holy Trinity Church.
He is preceded in death by his devoted wife Albina ( nee Zak ); loving son of Charles and Mary ( nee Pafcuga ); cherished father of Joseph & Lorraine; dear brother of Robert Ankosko and Eleanor Walcsak.
George is survived by his beloved daughter Patricia Montecalvo; adored grandfather of Erica and her husband Mark White; cherished great grandfather of Jack, Gavin & Max White; dear uncle of a niece and three nephews.
We begin to leave on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11:15 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 11:30 am at Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visiting is on Friday from 9 ~ 11 am
