Rufino Soto

Rufino  Soto, 70 of Hopelawn, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side. 

Rufino was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and came to Perth Amboy many years ago. Rufino is a alumnus of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1967. He was employed by Sansone Auto Mall, Avenel for 25 years as the Assistant Service Manager.  He loved spending time with family and friends, but he especially enjoyed fishing, watching his Dallas Cowboys, boxing and going to the Boxing Hall of Fame.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents Rufino and Ana ( nee Vazquez ) Soto.  

He is survived by his devoted companion, Barbara Farinich; beloved brother of Blanca and her husband Pedro Solivan and Genoveva Rivera; adored uncle of Andres Rivera.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 8:30 pm at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery on Wednesday at 10 am. Visiting is on Tuesday from 2 ~ 4 & 7 ~ 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rufino's memory can be made to American Cancer Association, American Heart Association, American Diabetis Association & American Lung Association.
