John Philip Stuler, 91, of Salem, MA, and formerly of Perth Amboy, passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at the John Bertram House Assisted Living, Salem, surrounded by the love of his family.
John was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy before moving to Salem, MA, eighteen months ago. He graduated from Perth Amboy High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II. John was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church for many years. He was employed by Haagen-Dazs, Woodbridge, as an accountant and office manager. John’s passions included spending time with his grandchildren and daughters, trips to the ocean, ice cream, and the New York Yankees.
He is preceded in death by his wife Veronica (nee Czinkota); his parents Frank and Anna (nee Muska); and sisters Anna Gladis, Lee Yanik, Mary Rebovich, Susan Antosiewicz, and Julia McIntyre.
John is survived by his daughters Terri and her husband Steven Buschman of Concord, MA, Sharon of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Shelly and her husband Patrick Schultz of Salem, MA, as well as grandchildren Gordon and Meryl Schultz of Salem, MA, and Sara Buschman of Concord, MA. He is also survived by many loving friends.
Funeral arrangements are private and will be handled by the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy.
