Frank J Churak

Frank J. Churak, 84 of Brick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his home.  

Frank was born and raised in Perth Amboy before moving to Edison, East Brunswick, Florida and then to Brick 5 years ago. He graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelors degree in Marketing. He also served his country  in the United States Army. Frank was a salesman for Westinghouse and OK Electric for over 40 years, and he retired in 1993. He was a parishioner of Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at Holy Trinity Church, St. Bartholomew Church, East Brunswick and St. Dominic Church, Brick.   

Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus, San Salvador Counsel, # 299, Perth Amboy. He was an avid golfer, gardener, artist, enjoyed tinkering with technology and was outspoken and unique in his own way. Frank was a devoted husband, father & grandfather who cherished spending time with family and friends.    

He is preceded in death by his loving parents John and Mary ( nee Suhay ); his sister Mary and her husband Steven Pado, brothers Monsignor Michael J., Rev. John J. and Joseph T. Churak; his daughter ~ in ~ law Diana Churak and brother ~ in ~ law Henry Sipos.  

He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years Cecelia ( nee Badiak ); his beloved children Cynthia Polanco, Gary, Thomas and his wife Ruth, Robert and his wife Guadalupe " Lupe" Churak; his sister Helen Sipos and sister ~ in ~ law Arlene Churak; grandchildren Travis, Stephen Maxwell "Max", Kevin, Emily, Matthew, Michael, Marcus and Mitchell; as well as many nieces and nephews.

We will begin to leave on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10:15 AM from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 11 AM at Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will be at a later date.  Visiting is on Monday from 4 ~ 8 pm.
